Paints have been used for centuries to add color and beauty to our world. They protect and cover buildings and cars, used on roads and as signs fro businesses. Latex paints are also commonly used for both out doors and in doors. They are mostly preferred because they are easy to use. Being water -based they it is quite easy to clean them with soap and water and a mostly used in painting cement and bricks.

Lacquers are also used in the painting of automobiles and contain fast evaporating solvents that are made from resin. The paint dries rather quickly once applied and those that are metallic use either bronze powder or aluminum to give that shiny look on the car after the flakes have floated on the surface of the paint film.
